Trump Top Performance: 2018 Address to U.N. General Assembly

Love it or hate it, President Trump was extremely diplomatic and collective during his 2018 speech at the U.N. General Assembly in New York. Opening his speech by refreshing on his comments from last year where he "addressed a vision for a better future and diminishing terror threats". He went on to share "some extraordinary progress" which will be listed at the end.

President Trump embraced individual cultures, freedoms and peace. He stated "I honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue their own customs, beliefs and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live, or work or worship"

During the 2017 address to the U.N. General Assembly, President Trump had some extremely strong, controversial but seemingly effective words for North Korea leader Kim Jong Un.

This year, President Trump praised N.K. for "highly productive conversations and meetings". Trump thanked Chairman Kim for "courage and steps taken" but added "there is more to be done ... Sanctions will remain until full denuclearization".

He went on to thank those who helped with North Korea including President Moon (S.K.), Prime Minister Abe (Japan) and President Chi (China). Praising the fact that there has been no missiles in the air, nuclear testing has stopped completely, U.S. hostages have been released, the remains of U.S. soldiers have been returned, and peace has never been stronger between North and South Korea.

President Trump boasted the Middle east for "great strides and very historic change". He thanked the Persian Gulf Countries for the new center which targets terrorist financing, new sanctions and ways to identify, fight and track terrorism in their own region. This initiative began following Trump's 2017 visit to Saudi Arabia.

He thanked UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar (of the Gulf Countries) for the millions of dollars in aid to Syria and Yemen and for pursuing multiple avenues to end Yemen's "horrific civil war".

"Ultimately, it is up to nations of regions to decide what kind of future they want for their-selves and their children." President Trump said, adding "So The United States is working with (multiple countries) to assist

Yes Iran is in the Middle East.. But it definitely deserves it's own section. President Trump declined to meet with Iran at this time.

President Trump blamed Iran for "Chaos, death and destruction" saying "The corrupt dictatorship in Iran does not respect neighbors, borders or sovereign rights of nations. They plunder other nation's resources to enrich their-self and spread mayhem throughout middle east."

Trump cited "Iran's people are mad at the government" and that "Iran neighbors pay toll of aggression and expansion". Therefor, they support the US withdrawing from the Iran-Nuclear Deal and adding strong nuclear sanctions. The US launched a campaign of economic pressure.

"We cannot allow the world's leading sponsor of terrorism to have the world's most deadliest weapons. Just Cant do it".

Focusing on the governmental regime, Trump concluded with "We ask all nations to support Iran's people as they struggle to reclaim their religious and righteous destiny."

"We believe that trade must be fair and reciprocal. The United states will not be taken advantage of any longer" - President Trump

Confident in distant future trade deals, Trump stated that the US-Mexico and US-Korea trade deals announced within the past few weeks are "just the beginning".

An unusually strong but gracious approach, President Trump said "I have great respect and affection for my friend President Chi (of China)" while referencing new but previously announced tariffs totaling $250 Billion in goods. Trump is cautious to get the point across that he does want fair and reciprocal trade, simply not wanting the U.S. to be taken advantage of while not taking advantage of other counties as well.

Trump proudly announced that the U.S. withdrew from the human rights counsel and will not return until real reform is enacted. "As far as the U.S. is concerned, the ICC has no jurisdiction, no legitimacy and no authority. America is governed by Americans. We will not sacrifice our sovereignty or be policed by global bureaucracy. We reject the ideology of globalism."

"We have become the largest energy producer anywhere on the face of the earth" said Trump, as he spoke out against OPEC raising prices. Going on to insist that they lower prices and begin contributing in more ways.

As we've seen time and time again, he strongly spoke out against human trafficking, deadly drugs, gangs and illegal immigration.

He spoke highly of helping other nations, claiming "We should help to make their countries great again". Going as far as to ask other nations to assist Venezuela. "Venezuela is a human tragedy. Socialism has bankrupted the once oil rich nation and driven it's people into abject poverty. Everywhere socialism or communism has been tried it has produced suffering, corruption and decay ... All nations of the world should resist socialism and the misery that it brings to everyone"

The 45th President ended with a unifying message for all nations to pursue peace, prosperity, love, personal sovereignty, and means of which to benefit the people.

All in all, if you spend the 40 minutes to watch the video in full, I think you will be very impressed with the way that President Trump represented himself and The United States of America.
